我的同学王小文住在公园路十九号。

Homework (advanced)

Introduce Building & Describe Job

Each student makes a PowerPoint to introduce the building built by the student. Student must pretend to work in the building.

The PowerPoint should be done on Prezi.com and must include the following:

  • Page 1: pictures of the student and buildings built by this student, Chinese and English names of the student and buildings.

  • Page 2: introduce one building as your workplace, provide building address.

  • Page 3: Pretend you work in this building and introduce yourself and your job.

  • Page 4: describe the routine of your job.

  • Page 5: tell us your home address and your neighbors

  • Page 6: Concluding page

Share your Prezi link with teacher.

Expanded Materials

Students can create materials such as flyers, coupons, ads, posters, menu, etc for each building and expand the depth in developing the town.

For example,

    • Chinese dinner menu

    • Flyer for School

    • Grocery store flyer

    • Ad poster for Huawei

    • Apt building application form

    • Soccer Practice schedule

Things to watch out for:

Students might not know how to make a building with cardboard

solution: paper building template; small tea boxes and other packaging boxes from home.

It will make the job easier and the final product prettier if the cardboard is painted before glued together.

solution: provide colorful acrylic paint (try using white paint first to cover up cardboard paper)

The final product will be more proportional if the buildings are made during class time. Students can take their buildings home to decorate.
