Project: My Clothes 我的衣服

paper clips.jpg

This project has two parts: making paper clothes and writing a paragraph describing the clothes.

1. Craft: My Clothes

Make paper clothes and display them:

Your project should include 12-18 pieces of clothes that ranges from shirt to shoes, for example, school uniforms, your favorite outfit, accessories such as hat (帽子), scarf (围巾), belt (皮带), etc.

Label all the items in Chinese and English.

You can also make your project 3D by
using a small box to create a mini-closet:

  • Bring a shoe box from home and punch a hole from both sides of the shoe box;
    It doesn't have to be a SHOE box. You can choose any packaging box that's similar in size. As long as it fits all your "clothes".

  • Thread a string and tie a knot in the back;

  • Draw your clothes on papers of different kinds of patterns (such as wrapping paper/magazine page) and colors to make a variety of clothes;
    You can also download clothes images into a word document, size them appropriately, and print them out in color.
    Pay attention to the size of the clothes.

  • Cut out the clothing items, mark each item with its name in both English and Chinese, and use tape to "hang" them onto paper clip hangers.

Go to the bottom of this page for more clothes vocabulary.
